Is a cutting edge method of permanent makeup designed to enhance the eyebrows. It creates natural, beautiful eyebrows with a handheld Microblade. It’s perfect for people who have over plucked or those who want to define, darken or reshape their eyebrows. Unlike traditional tattooing, which uses a machine, Microblading artists apply each hair stroke with a handheld Microblading. This produces a very fine line that resembles real hair. Each individual hair stroke is hand drawn by the artist and blended in with the client’s existing eyebrow hair. With a strong artist at the helm, the results can be gorgeous and very lifelike.
People suffering from alopecia, trigonometrical or any other condition that causes hair loss benefit greatly from microblading, as well as people who simply aren’t happy with their eyebrows.
Microblading is a form of permanent makeup that creates natural, beautiful eyebrows with a handheld Microblade. It’s perfect for people who have over plucked or those who want to define, darken or reshape their eyebrows.
Technically, Microblading is a form of eyebrow tattooing. However, unlike traditional tattooing, which uses a machine, Microblading artists apply each hair stroke with a handheld Microblading. This produces a very fine line that resembles real hair. Each individual hair stroke is hand drawn by the artist and blended in with the client’s existing eyebrow hair. With a strong artist at the helm, the results can be gorgeous and very lifelike.
Microblading typically takes two appointments to complete. In the first appointment, the client is profiled and the eyebrows are drawn on with a brow pencil, so the artist and client can agree on the look. The artist then microblades the eyebrows and the client is ready to go back into the world. There are some pre-care and aftercare required, but your Microblading should be completely healed in 30 days.
The second appointment is a touch up at least 30 days after the first session, but we prefer to do it at 8-10 weeks. This allows enough time for the ink in the epidermis to naturally slough off, and the color to settle into your skin. In the touch up appointment, the artist can see how your skin has received the ink and make any necessary corrections.
The pain level for the procedure is considered little to no pain. Topical anesthetic is applied prior and during the procedure so the client can feel at ease while receiving the treatment. Everyone responds differently to anesthetic; depending on the client, the feeling of the procedure has been described by many clients as light cat scratches to not feeling anything. Topical anesthetics used may contain either lidocaine, tetracaine and epinephrine.
A Microblading session consists of a consultation the day of, where we review your lifestyle and daily brow maintenance. We then map the brows according to your facial structure to ensure proper symmetry and balanced proportion. Once you approve the brow shape, the procedure takes about an hour and a half. This entire session takes about 3 – 3.5 hours.
30 Days to completely heal. The eyebrow area will have minor redness or swelling 1 – 3 days and color will appear very dark. This is normal for the procedure and part of the healing process. The color will fade by up to 40% as it heals. In the following days, the eyebrows will continue to be dark and you will notice slight scabbing. Do not pick at the scabs as this may damage the skin and the outcome of the micropigmented area. The eyebrows will lighten up in color as it heals. It takes approximately 7-14 days for the brows to heal over, and about 1 month for the color to fully set in. You’ll notice the color is very light right after the two weeks after healing; the skin will have an opaque milky looking quality to it. This is known as the milk skin and is common in tattooing. This is due to the the tissue still healing from the inside out even though the surface of the skin is healed. True color will reveal itself once healed.
Please see aftercare for more details on how to achieve better healed results.
We offer a complimentary touch up between 6 – 10 weeks of your appointment. After that, we charge a fee for annual or semi-annual color boosts.
Touch up sessions should not be done earlier than 4 weeks after the initial session as pigment color has not fully settled into the skin. Most importantly, this is to prevent scar damage as the tissue requires time to completely heal.
